SCENE 1
FATHER: (coming out with igbo local attire, dressed in
morning look. Whistling with a chew stick and making complains of how some
domestic items have been displaced by the children).
MOTHER: Coming from the church, singing with her bible.
FATHER: Where are you coming from this by this time? Wait,
where have you been all throughout the night?
MOTHER: I went to the church for an alnight vigil.
FATHER: Woman, are you not tired of offering huge sacrifices
of time and resources to this God that don’t care about us. Where was HIM when
our son died like a chicken in the city, without us seeing his copse?
MOTHER: (She keeps silence and move away from the presence of
the husband… Husband continues his unnecessary complains and blaming God for
the predicament he is in).
SCENE 2
BUSINESS MAN: (Appears wealthy in nice attires!!! He makes
calls with other business partners, telling them how he struggled to build his
enterprise to what it is today, by his strength and wisdom)… He tries to
exclude God totally from his affairs…
SCENE 3
FATHER & MOTHER SITTING IIN THE COMPUND SEEMS TO BE
DISCUSSING SOME FAMILY ISSUES. Suddenly,
their SON, who they were told is dead and was a burial ceremony was held in the
village for him, despite the absence of his dead body appeared from nowhere.
Father & Mother stood in surprise. Mother ran and hides
behind her husband. The father summoned courage and approached the Son. He
touched his hands and said “SO YOU ARE ALIVE?”
SON: Yes papa. And what is going on here, everyone seems to
run away on my sight ever since I entered this village.
FATHER: Shocked and almost speechless “It was reported that
you were dead” you were caught with hard drugs and sentenced to death.
SON: It’s not like that, (Smile and try to sit down). Someone
actually set me up and I was taken to court to face the law. There I can’t
explain how I was found innocent. All I knew was, I found myself at home.
Luckily, I met someone who helped me out and today I’m a business tycoon with
lots of establishment in ABUJA.
MOTHER: knelt down and raised her hands up with tears
appreciating GOD for His abundant grace on the life of her SON.
SCENE 4
JIMMY:
(standing in front of his girl’s house). Where has this lady gone to, when she
know I’m coming by this time. (He tries to call her, but her phone is switched
off). Suddenly, he sights her from far with a guy holding their hands. She came
and met him there, with his faced squeezed .
TESSY: (Good
evening, sorry I kept you waiting went to see a friend.
JIMMY: Shout
up! LIAR… So this is how you've been deceiving me for the past two years.
(Tessy looks surprise and confuse). Stop giving me such an innocent look. WHO
WAS THAT GUY I JUST SAW YOU WITH, EVEN HOLDING YOUR HANDS.
TESSY:
ohhh!!! That’s David, a very good friend of mine…
JIMMY: Good
friend indeed! A friend I've never known for the past two years of our
relationship with you. Our wedding is just coming up in two weeks time and this
is what you are doing. YOU ARE A BIG DISGRACE TO WOMANHOOD. Takes off his
engagement ring off her hands and live.
SCENE 5
BUSINESS
MAN: dressed so different and looks like the poorest man in the community. He
begins to complain about life, how everything has been unfaired to him. How
almost everyone including his family members, even with the very people that he
helped has forgotten and left him. He regretted misusing the grace granted to
HIM by God. He wished, he would have adhere to the advice of his wife and the pastor. HE IS LESS
THAN A MAN.
SCENE 6
Jimmy is
sitting down and Tessy is there on her knees, begging jimmy to forgive
her. Jimmy looks so hardened that
forgiving “TESSY” Would be the last thing he would do on earth. He try to push
her away, she still continue apologizing and pleading for forgiveness.
BACKGROUND

JIMMY LOOKS
AT TESSY AND HELD HER HANDS UP, WIPED OFF HER TEARS AND TOLD “I'VE FORGIVEN
YOU”…
