BEWARE OF THIS SATANIC BOOK! "CONVERSIATIONS WITH GOD"

Oprah is pushing it. It is scary that someone would be bold
enough to write a book which from God's point of view is
contrary to His Word.
Please send to all with kids or grandkids.
If you have children or grandchildren, work with children at
church, or you have neighborhood children whose parents you
know, please take note of the information below and pass it
along to others. Schools are distributing this book to children
through the Scholastic Book Club.
The name of the book is:
'CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD'
James Dobson talked about this book twice this week. It is
devastating. Parents, churches and Christian schools need to
be aware of it. Please pass this information on to church/e-mail
addresses, Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins,
friends.
Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch
on TV, in movie theaters, on the Internet, and the music they
listen to, but also be alert regarding the books they read
Two particular books are,
'Conversations with God' and
'Conversations with God for Teens'
written by Neale D. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by
their titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times
best sellers list for a number of weeks, and they make truth of
the statement, "Don't judge a book by its cover or title."
The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids
using the "voice of God". However, the "answers" that he gives
are not Bible-based and go against the very infallible word of
God. For instance: (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the
question "Why am I a lesbian?" His answer is that she was
'born that way' because of genetics (just as you were born
right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go
out and "celebrate" her differences.
Another girl poses the question "I am living with my boyfriend.
My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in
sin. Should I marry him?" His reply is, "Who are you sinning
against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong."
Another question asks about God's forgiveness of sin. His reply
"I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive...
There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have
been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have
chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the
rule is "'judge not lest ye be judged."
Not only are these books the false doctrine of the devil, but in
some instances quote (in error) the Word of God.
And the list goes on. These books (and others like it) are being
sold to school children through (The Scholastic Book Club), and
we need to be aware of what is being fed to our children.
Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and
vigilant about teaching your children the Word of God, and
guarding their exposure to worldly mediums, because our
adversary, the devil, roams about as a roaring lion seeking
whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We know that lions usually
hunt for the slowest, weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.
Pass this on to every Believer you know. God bless! And, if you
are in doubt, check out the books yourself online.
PLEASE REMAIN RAPTURABLE.

Dozens of ISIS fighters killed in Syrian airstrikes

ISIS have continued to suffer losses as Syrian government warplanes maintain their bombardment of the group's strongholds.
Reuters/US Air Force
Russian military build up in Syria has meant the Syrian government has increased its attacks on ISIS strongholds, joining US operations.
At least 38 ISIS fighters have died over the last 24 hours as the Assad government has led airstrikes against the group in Palmyra and two other towns in the Homs province, according to Aljazeera.
The Syrian air force has been increasing attacks as it has received reinforcements and equipment from Russia, a monitoring group said.
"The number of raids is growing and the strikes are more precise after the Syrian air force received arms and more efficient planes from Moscow," said Rami Abdelrahman, director of the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights.
However many civilians were also killed and injured in the strikes, the British-based observatory said in a statement today.
At least 12 civilians were killed and tens of others injured in the intense aerial bombing in Palmyra. Many of the wounded are dying due to a lack of basic medical supplies in the city, the group said.
There is only one civilian doctor working in a single field hospital in Palmyra meaning many wounded have to be transported to the city of Al-Raqqah, an ISIS stronghold.

The ancient Syrian city of Palmyra has been under ISIS control since May 20  2015. The group has committed many atrocities in the city including beheading Khaled al-Asaad, the archaeologist and historian who maintained and watched over Palymra's extensive cultural artefacts. He was accused of "apostasy" and his death was followed by the destruction of the 2,000 year old temple of Baalshamin.

Beware of jihadists who exploit religion, warns Putin at Russia mosque opening

The President of Russia has used his speech at the opening of the rebuilt Grand Mosque in Moscow today to attack Islamist terror groups that "cynically exploit religious feeling for political ends".
At the opening of the 19,000 square metre mosque that can hold 10,000 worshippers and will serve a Russian Muslim population of 20 million, Vladimir Putin said: "We see what is happening in the Middle East where terrorists from the so-called Islamic State group are compromising a great world religion, compromising Islam, in order to sow hate."

Russian President Vladimir Putin (L) and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan (2nd R) listen to Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin (R) during a tour around the Moscow Grand Mosque after the opening ceremony.
Putin added: "This mosque will become an extremely important spiritual centre for Muslims in Moscow and the whole of Russia. It will be a source for education, spreading humanist ideas and the true values of Islam." The mosque opened on the eve of the Muslim religious festival Eid al-Adha.
Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas were among guests of honour at the opening of the mosque, a spectacular $170 million building with a turquoise dome that has taken ten years to complete.
The speaker of Russia's lower house of parliament, Sergey Naryshkin, described it as a milestone event for the whole Muslim world, according to  Russian newsagency TASS . He said: "Let the majestic look of the Moscow Grand Mosque become a symbol of the important role that Islam has always played in Russia's history and our future joint achievements in the development of the motherland."
Related
The previous mosque, built in 1904, was demolished in 2005 to make way for the new one. According to Ravil Gaynutdin, chair of the Russian Council of Muftis, it is the largest mosque in Europe.
About two million of Russia's Muslims live in Moscow, which now has six mosques. Recent research found that the number of Muslims in the world will nearly equal the number of Christians by 2050.
Moscow has been working behind the scenes to persuade Western leaders to support Syria's President Assad in a coalition against ISIS.

Pope Francis speaks up for innocent victims of abortion

Written By:   Ruth Gledhill

Pope Francis spoke up for the victims of abortion and for those caught up in the immigration crisis in his strongest speech so far since arriving in the US.
In an address to US Catholic bishops, he said: "The innocent victims of abortion, children who die of hunger or from bombings, immigrants who drown in the search for a better tomorrow, the elderly or the sick who are considered a burden, the victims of terrorism, wars, violence and drug trafficking, the environment devastated by man's predatory relationship with nature – at stake in all of this is the gift of God, of which we are noble stewards but not masters. It is wrong, then, to look the other way or to remain silent."
Reuters
US President Barack Obama meets with Pope Francis in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington on Sept. 23, 2015.
Of the many thousands of words he will speak over the next few days in Spanish and English, this one paragraph effectively summed up the heart of his mission to the United States where he has met with a rapturous welcome.
The Pope, who is 78, looked exhausted as he arrived at he arrived the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC for the first canonisation on American soil, of Spanish Friar Junipero Serra, who converted indiginous peoples in California to Christianity in the 18th century. The canonisation is controversial because the ministry of Serra is regarded by some contemporary commentators as far from saintly. It generated a Twitter hashtag of its own, #SerraisnoSaint.

There were also protests on Twitter at how the all-male processions of bishops and priests during services highlighted the male-only hierarchy of the Catholic Church, and protests from the Women's Ordination Worldwide group outside St Matthew's Cathedral in Washington. The women, with placards stating "All are equal in God's eyes" and "Ordain Women", have made plans to accompany him throughout the visit, including to New York tomorrow and then Philadelphia at the end of the week.
One highlight of the day was when the Pope stopped unexpectedly in his popemobile to greet a five-year-old girl, Sophie Cruz, the daughter of illegal immigrants, who handed him a letter pleading her case.
"I want to tell you that my heart is sad," she said in the letter which she had memorised in English and Spanish. "I believe I have the right to live with my parents, I have the right to be happy.
"All immigrants just like my dad help feed this country. They deserve to live with dignity. They deserve to live with respect. They deserve an immigration reform."
Immigration is expected to be among the issues raised by Pope Francis in his address to Congress tomorrow.
In an exclusive comment for Christian Today, Caroline Wyatt, who is in the US covering the visit for the BBC, said: "Washington is not a town normally impressed by VIP visits. But it seems that Pope Francis is different. Federal workers have been given a day off, due to the tight security surrounding the Pope, and his every route has been lined by enthusiastic, cheering crowds. Many have been impressed with the way this Pope lives his message about poverty and taking care of the environment: his black Fiat 500 is not the usual sort of limousine used by VVIPs."
She added: "However, there is a certain nervousness here in Washington about what he might say at Congress, when he becomes the first Pope to speak to US lawmakers. Some have protested against that invitation, saying that a religious leader had no place speaking to democratically-elected body of representatives. Others wonder what he will focus on in his speech, with some hoping for more on migration, the environment and social issues – and others wanting less."
She said he was in the US to send a message to the Catholic faithful - "that the face of Catholicism in the US is changing, and that they need to embrace that, and the migrants who are bolstering congregations in the west and the south are to be welcomed, while the Church here needs to come together across the divides over sexuality, abortion and many other issues that split both America and its Catholics. He also wants to send a clear message to the world's richest nation: that it needs to focus more on helping to save the environment, and stop damaging the world we all share, and that that is a task that cannot wait."
The Pope is well aware of the political pitfalls of all the topics he is addressing, from migration to the environment to the child abuse scandals that have plagued the Roman Catholic church, and he has chosen his words carefully throughout this trip, she said. "Though he did joke on the plane to the US about reports in parts of the US media questioning whether he really was Catholic because of some of his comments on the economy. He jokingly offered to recite the Creed just to prove it. None of the journalists on the Vatican plane took him up on the offer.... "

More educated people in China embracing Christianity to find true meaning of life

Christians fill a church in China during a Sunday service.

During the 1980s, there were only 10 million Christians in the People's Republic of China, at a time when the country was still finding its ground politically and economically. By 2007, the number of Christians in China rose to a staggering 60 million, indicating an impressive annual growth rate of 7 percent.

As of last year, a recent study estimates that some 100 million Chinese citizens already believe in Jesus Christ and His teachings.
What exactly is driving the growth of Christianity in a communist country that officially does not subscribe to any religion but whose citizens are mostly those who practice Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism?

Two academics, Rodney Stark and Xiuhua Wang, provide an answer in their book "A Star in the East: The Rise of Christianity in China," published this year. For them, more and more educated Chinese are becoming Christians to find the true meaning of life in modern times.
Stark, a sociologist by profession, explained that many Chinese citizens, especially the better educated ones, are currently experiencing "cultural incongruity" between traditional Asian culture and industrial-technological modernity. This leads to "spiritual deprivation," which can best be answered by Christianity, he said.

"The question of what does the world mean, and how do we live in it, persists – and so that's a major motor in the Christianisation of China, and it explains why it's the most educated Chinese who are the most apt to join," the author explained.
He added that most Chinese intellectuals think that traditional Eastern religions "don't fit the modern world they're engaged in" and are "anti-progress."

"They all proclaim the world is going downhill from a glorious past, and that we should look backwards, not forwards. None of them admit that we're able to understand anything about the universe – it's something we have to meditate on, not something to try and theorise about, as the physicists and chemists do," Stark explained.
In contrast, Stark believes Christianity fits in very well with modern scientific technology.

Chinese lawyer detained for defending churches

A human rights lawyer has been detained for six months after defending Chinese churches in their fight against demolition and cross removal.
Zhang Kai was taken by police from a Christian church in Wenzhou, in the province of Zhejiang. Chinese attorneys have confirmed Zhang has been confined to six months of residential surveillance on suspicion of "endangering state security" and "disturbing the public order."
These are two charges frequently brought against dissidents in China and are used to prevent lawyers meeting with their clients.
Residential surveillance usually means "hotels, so the investigators can contact the parties directly," said another rights protection lawyer, Liu Xiaoyuan.
"The party is left alone in the room, and the investigator keeps watch on him every day. This causes more psychological stress."
Zhang had been representing churches which have been battling official attempts to tear down crucifixes and houses of worship in Wenzhou.
After taking away Zhang and two assistants, Wenzhou police also detained more than 10 Christians, including pastors, human rights activists told Voice of America. Some have since been released, but most are still in custody.

Bob Fu, the founder and president of China Aid, a Christian human rights organisation, told Christian Today of his outrage at the sentence.
"This represents a new low on the rule of law in China," Fu said. "They did nothing but legally defend hundreds of church's crosses from being barbarically demolished.

"The international community, especially President Obama, should make it clear to President Xi Jinping [that] these acts of total disregard to basic human rights and religious freedom should and will be condemned by all during Xi's planned visit to the United Nations and U.S. next month."
According to religious rights groups, about 1,500 crucifixes have been torn down in Zhejiang province, which includes Wenzhou. Several churches have been demolished.

Scandal: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome In South African Trouble!

Pastor offered me R10 000 to sit in a wheelchair, stand up and walk
Faith healer or fake healer: Pastor Chris | From architecture to saving souls

Nigerian preacher and healer Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has been accused by a member of his own church of staging miracle-healing sessions.

Some of his followers have said that he has been hiring people to pretend to be sick and disabled and then “be healed” during his television shows and public prayer meetings.

A man who did not want to be identified for security reasons said: “I was offered R10 000 to rehearse and pretend to be in a wheelchair three weeks before the all-night prayer called Night of Bliss at the Johannesburg Stadium.”

Last weekend Pastor Oyakhilome hosted an all-night prayer at the stadium. The source told Sowetan that he started attending Christ Embassy church in Randburg last year.

He was recruited by one of the pastors and told he would be paid if he helped to draw crowds. “The pastor told me that they were looking for people to work for the church.

He said that I was going to sit in a wheelchair and be wheeled around while pretending to be physically ill. I would then stand up and walk as soon as Pastor Chris stopped praying for me.”

The source also said that the people who are “healed” every time on stage are actually trained weeks before.

“Even children who are healthy are whisked around in wheelchairs. Some use crutches. “Everyone is allocated a person who tells the congregation about your background, your specific illness and suffering. “The pastor then raises his hands and places them maybe on your legs if you cannot walk, and a few seconds later you get up and walk around the room,”the source said. He said he called the church the day after their offer and turned them down.

“I just told myself that using the word of God to lie to desperate people is immoral, so I refused to take up their offer,” said the source.
A woman who went to the all-night prayer service, said: “When he started healing people, I did not see him call anyone from the audience. The people that he ‘healed’ came from a certain section of the audience and it looked like he came with them especially for the event.

“I saw a lot of people in wheelchairs leaving the venue who had not been healed. It was very sad.

”Lerato Moeketsi told Sowetan she was a loyal follower of the church and was disappointed that she could not make it into the stadium. “I had to turn back because the stadium was full. “There was no way I could go through to receive his blessing,” she said.

Thousands of followers jostled for space at the stadium.

The seriously ill, mostly disabled and in wheelchairs, went to the service in the hope of being healed by Pastor Chris’s powerful prayer. Another woman, Tshinanne Nemutudi, said she went to the all-night prayer service because she believed in Pastor Chris.

“I trust him the way I trust Jesus and God. ”She said she had problems with her ankle but Pastor Chris had healed her. “While he was praying, he said we should all touch our body parts that needed to be healed. He said that if we believed then we would be healed.”

Oyakhilome ’s website describes him as a pastor, teacher, healing minister, television host and best-selling author whose career spans 25 years.

He runs the church with his wife, Pastor Anita, who is the director of Christ Embassy’s international office and also preaches at the Christ Embassy churches in the United Kingdom.

Pastor Chris also hosts a religious programme on TV called Atmosphere for Miracles. At the Randburg branch, brother Onyeka Liozo said what the source and the followers said “was rubbish”. “We have a healing school in Randburg. People ask and get healed.

People must stop lying about this holy crusade,” said Liozo. He said that people come from outside South Africa for help.

Pastor Chris is both controversial and mysterious. The press is barred from taking pictures at his healing services.

Egyptian Christian faces trial for handing out Bibles

A Coptic Christian in Egypt arrested for handing out Bibles will today face a hearing before the prosecution after having his detention extended.
According to the weekly Watani newspaper, Medhat Ishaq was arrested by police on October 6 for giving away Bibles to passers-by and "attempting to persuade people to join the Christian religion." He had nine Bibles in his possession at the time.

The paper reported that Ishaq was accused of "exploiting religion in speech and printed material to promote sedition and harm national unity." According to Daily News Egypt, a charge of "insulting religion" was later added to his case.

Attempting to convert people is not illegal under Egyptian law, and Arabic Bibles are printed legally in the country. However, Christians do face a number of battles for religious freedom. Current legislation dictates that churches cannot be built near schools, villages, railways, residential areas, government offices and canals, among other stipulations, for example.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has pledged to change this, however, and has expressed a desire to end religious intolerance throughout Egypt; calling for a "religious revolution" to tackle extremism. As part of this commitment, he became the first of the country's leaders ever to attend a Coptic Christian Mass on Christmas Eve last year.

The country has recently introduced tough new anti-terrorism laws, which the Catholic Church has welcomed. A senior figure has warned, however, that it is vital that personal freedoms are safeguarded by legislation.

"Recent bomb attacks have shown terrorism is a major problem here, so we really need strong laws to help the police and Interior Ministry combat it," said patriarchal vicar of the Coptic Catholic Church, Fr Hani Bakhoum Kiroulos, in an interview with Catholic News Service.

"But such laws must be applied in ways that protect personal freedoms. Although the Catholic Church does not intervene on specific laws, especially when they're already passed, it will go on repeating this message."

Fr Kiroulos said the Church was concerned for the security of all Egyptians, not just Catholics, and is "satisfied with the steps now being taken."
"The main problem here isn't between Muslims and Christians, but between the Egyptian people and terrorists. The government is already doing much to tackle this, but needs to do more," he added.
President al-Sisi arrived in Moscow on Tuesday for a three-day state visit to Russia, along with a number of Middle Eastern leaders including a delegation from Iran. Taking place during a military showcase, the heads of state will discuss the Syrian crisis, and Iranian officials are expected to finalise negotiations for the purchase of S-300 air defence systems from Russia.

Man Dies In The Process Of Fasting 40 days Like JESUS Did...

A Zimbabwean Christian trying to fast for 40 days and 40 nights in imitation of Jesus has died a month into his attempt.
According to Nehanda Radio, Khulu Reinfirst Manyuka left his home and went into the wilderness to pray, echoing Jesus' actions in Matthew 4: 1-11 and Luke 4: 1-13.
Manyuka, 73, was known by his family and local community as "a very spiritual person whose faith could move mountains".
A close relative said: "He was a very spiritual man. It's unfortunate he had to die this way."
Manyuka is believed to have died after only 30 days. "After a month we got the sad news of his death," the relative said.
Another family member said that he had no history of illness: "He was a healthy and religious old man who did not even look his age."
"We have received such reports before, but we cannot stop the public from fasting," a police spokesperson said.Local police said Manyuka is not the first to die from fasting, with "numerous" other cases reported.
Scholars are divided over whether Jesus' fast was for a literal 40 days or whether this is a symbolic number, and on whether it involved a total abstinence from all food and water.

Christ Embassy Church Lagos On Fire

An early morning fire has razed a section of the Christ Embassy Church, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State, destroying property said to be worth millions of naira.

The fire, which reportedly lasted for about two hours on Wednesday, was said to have affected four 40-feet containers, reportedly being used as storage facilities by the church.

The fire, which was said to have started at about 4am, was caused by a burning heap of refuse, which later engulfed the containers near an uncompleted building on the church premises.

It will be recalled that another fire incident occurred in the church in March 2014, which razed generator houses, damaging about 10 generators.

According to a resident, who claimed to be an eyewitness, the Wednesday fire, which created panic and later caused gridlock in the area, was put out by firefighters from the Alausa Fire Station, who were joined by some church workers.

He said, “The fire started from some refuse being burnt near the containers. It soon engulfed the containers and lasted for about two hours. It attracted sympathisers and passersby to the area. The thick smoke also caused some traffic snarl along Billings Way, Oregun, where the church is located.”

The Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaq Fadipe, confirmed the incident, adding that the service deployed two fire trucks from the Alausa station in the area. The director noted that no life was lost in the inferno.

He said, “We got the distress call at about 5am. We immediately deployed two fire trucks from the Alausa Station to attend to it. Four containers caught up in the fire contained electrical appliances, pumping machines and pieces of furniture.

“We were able to put the situation under control.

Islamic State frees 22 abducted Assyrian Christian

Reuters Displaced Assyrians, who fled from the villages around Tel Tamr, gather outside an Assyrian Church in al-Hasaka city.

Islamic State has released 22 of the dozens of Assyrian Christians it abducted from villages in northeastern Syria earlier this year, a monitoring group said on Tuesday.
It was not clear how many Assyrians remain in the hands of the ultra-hardline Islamist militants, but Rami Abdulrahman, head of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said they continued to hold more than 150.
The group seized more than 200 Assyrians in February when its fighters overran more than a dozen villages inhabited by the ancient Christian minority near Hasaka, a northeastern city mainly inhabited by Kurds.
The head of a Syrian Assyrian group in Sweden, Afram Yakoub, confirmed the release and said all of the freed captives were elderly men and women.

Abdulrahman said a ransom has been paid but Yakoub denied it.
"Some have health issues, so we believe they released them because of health issues and because they are old," Yakoub, chairman of the Assyrian Federation of Sweden, told Reuters by telephone.
"The release is a small sign of hope. It gives us some hope that some day those remaining will be released."
In March, the group released 19 of the captives free... We hope to see the release of all....

The Church in the Middle East is 'dissolving in front of our eyes' says Archbishop

This News is brought to you by All Round Gospel News Team is bringing you a News from the Midddle East Christians suffering persecutions "dissolving" in front of the eyes of its own people in its ancient homelands in the Middle East, according to a senior Archbishop from the stricken region.
Mgr Bashar Matti Warda, Archbishop of Erbil in Iraq, said a "massive" migration was now occurring as Christians fled from where they are hated.

"We are hated because we persist in wanting to exist as Christians," the Chaldean prelate told the news agency Fides.

Mgr Warda, of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, said: "For the Chaldean Church, and our sister churches of the East, the persecution our community is enduring is doubly painful and severe.

"We are personally affected by the need, and by the reality that our vibrant church life is dissolving in front of our eyes."
He said the "deeply sorrowful" reality was that the flight of the persecuted was leaving the Church "much weaker", but he could not in all conscience persuade Christians to remain. All they could do now was wait for military aid or other relief from abroad.

"We who are part of the church hierarchy are very often tempted to encourage our parishioners to stay – keep the presence of Christ alive in this special land. But truly I and my brother bishops and priests can do no more than to advise young mothers and fathers to take all the necessary considerations into account and to pray long and hard before taking such a momentous, and perhaps perilous, decision.
"The Church is unable to offer and guarantee the fundamental security that its members need to thrive."

He said hatred of minorities had intensified over the past few years but it was difficult to understand.
"We are hated because we persist in wanting to exist as Christians. In other words, we are hated because we persist in demanding a basic human right."
He urged the wider Church to pray for all refugees in Iraq and around the world and also to raise awareness of the risk that the Church in Iraq might not survive.

"I cannot repeat...loudly enough that our well-being, as a historic community, is no longer in our hands. The future will come, in one way or the other, and for us this means waiting to see what sort of aid – military, relief aid – arrives."
So far, more than 5,000 families have fled Iraq since last summer, with some now in Europe, the United States or Australia but many stranded indefinitely in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
The Archbishop's community in Erbil has made shelters in church gardens and halls, catechism classrooms, public schools, tents, unfinished buildings and in rented houses where the Church is accommodating in some cases up to 30 people in one house. The Church has also set up 1,700 caravans around Erbil to house the 2,000 families living in tents and unfinished buildings before winter sets in.

In addition, the Chaldeans have opened two medical centres to offer free medical services to the refugee community. The Sacred Heart Sisters from India are running St. Joseph's clinic with the help of 12 young doctors, serving 2000 patients at a monthly cost of US$ 42,000. They are adapting another building as a maternity and child care hospital and have opened a trauma response centre. They are also providing education for refugee children.

The Chaldean Catholic Church, founded between the first and third centuries, was until the 16th century part of Assyrian Church.

Pray for them...

Church Members Contributed In Building Missionary Universities, yet They Can’t Find Their Children There…

Honestly, this might sound too arrogant, but I would firstly apologize to anyone that finds this article offensive. It has been in my mind to write about this for quite a long time, but due to some tasks ahead, it has not come to actualization. All Glory to God for the opportunity.

Nigeria happens to be one of the most religious country in the world, not only in Africa. The religion with the highest population is Christianity, that’s not we are here for anyway.
With this few information about Nigeria, I believe by now, you, must have known well that the Christians are very faithful to their spiritual fathers (Pastors, Reverends Fathers and so on). Nigeria Christians in particular takes good care of these spiritual fathers/mothers.
If you are a Nigerian reading this, you should know quite too well that most of the churches in Nigeria with many branches around the states and have at least stood the test of time have a University they run.

Some reasons why they own this universities is due to the immoral/indecent characters most Christian youths learn when they enter most of the circular varsities. Also, is another means of generating income to the churches, in order to lessen the much demands of resources most Spiritual Fathers impose on their members. The above two mentioned reasons are the fundamental reasons, why most Churches own a University (varsities).  Although there might be other reasons which could be best known to the churches in particular.

Let’s enter the main business. After getting most of the funds use in building up that University from members of all category, which they would be levy according to their strength all in the name of sacrifice and offering. Some churches don’t even mind going to some rural areas where the inhabitant could be newly converted believers where illiteracy and poverty covers the entire community, yet gets some little contributions from these people in the plan to build a University for their children in the future.

After everything has been set alright. The school kicks off. You would begin to hear thousands of Naira for student tuition fee. Nigerian churches own the most expensive schools in Nigeria, while these schools where not created by one or two person(s).
It’s very annoying. They keep saying, it’s for the maintenance of staffs and school management, while these people would still run back to the church and request for some funds of maintenance. Please, I beg of the management of most of these Varsities to consider at least their members. In my own opinion, there should be a medium where the most contributors of this varsities have a means of being favored by the management.

Christians are said to be the light of the world. But some of these things we do are not helping issues at all… We should at least try to make things simple even to the world. You can’t imagine, some high Universities in Nigeria that students pays almost a million naira which is equivalent to about $5000 as of when this post was published.

Don’t judge me please. I stand to be corrected by any reasonable person with unique thing to offer.

All Church owned University vice chancellors should take note.

Are Christians Just Going To Sit and Watch?

Just before we begin bathing with the main water of today’s article. Let’s spray some little water round our body by reminding you of an old story. Some of us might know it, others might not. Myself, I read it in a motivational book some years back.
It all happened in the animal kingdom. Where a cub mistakenly missed out of its pride (group of related family lions with offspring) at a very tender age. Now, it joined other wild animals and grew among this other wild animals.
There came another lion that keeps disturbing this animals in their territory with the other cub that grew with the rest animals inclusive. Until just one day, when the cub realize that the lion that do come to threaten the whole territory shares some similarities in their physical looks and other behaviors.

The next time the lion came as usual to threaten them. He got a shocker of it life, this very cub refused to run like others. It stayed back and watch what would happen. The lion roared, and itself also roared. That was how it followed back the lion back to where it came for.
Christians are no longer in position of where they should be in the world. Today, many things are happening and the Christians aren't saying or doing anything to help matters. We are solution finders and not creators. The world we live in is a possession God has given unto us, to dominate, Rule and replenish. But, what is going on today calls for this question. Are Christians truly problem solvers and people that serve a living God? I waked up this morning to write this. Nobody is paying me to write this. Neither I’m I writing this from any selfish reason or mentality. I feel it’s necessary we stir up that sleeping giants in us that has made us grow cold.

Any non-Christian reading this should not think otherwise, no true Christian reading this would not agree to the fact that God’s plan for us is not to come and follow the crowd. We were told by our Creator even from the very beginning that we are to rule like our Father do. In the book of “1 SAMUEL”, during the period when Saul was a King. Something spectacular happened. A country was in war with the Israelites. The country had a giant that has been a warrior almost all through his life (GOLIATH). The warrior threatened the children of Israel so much. But David stood his ground and made sure that shame was removed. That is to tell you we are not to be on the bottom, but at the top.

I encourage all Christians all over the world to wake from their slumber. The morning has just begin, we don’t need to sit and watch everything our fore fathers struggled to build diminish in our generation. There is more to life that just living like slaves and feeling as if we rule.
By next week we would continue from here…
